For Lyndsey Haas ’12, Davidson’s fall Semester in India program was a full-immersion photographic experience. “We carried our cameras constantly,” she said. “In such a rich and colorful culture, there was always something visually interesting nearby.”
Haas was with Coleen Jose ’12 as the Davidson group explored an historic fort near Agra. Happy to be in the shade, and shielded from the souvenir hawkers who awaited them outside the walls, Haas and Jose wandered into a conical room and immediately recognized the photographic appeal of the piercing shaft of light in front of them. Haas shot the picture first with Jose in the light, then they traded roles for the image printed here. Snap!
