It’s been a great year for Davidson Wildcats in the water. The women were undefeated as they approached the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Championships in Athens, Ga., with the men poised to defend their 2010 CCSA title.

Lindsey Martin ’11, who went on to NCAA competition in 2010, is the league’s top performer this season in the 50 free, 100 free, and 200 free. Martin has been named CCSA Women’s Swimmer of the Week five times. Emily Castle ’11 has the best time in the 100 fly, while Anna Stringfield ’11 (above) ranks second in both the 200 backstroke and 400 IM.

Drew Onken ’13, league top performer in the 200 breast, 200 back, 200 IM, and 400 IM, and runner-up in four additional events, has earned CCSA Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors four times. Geoffrey Peitz ’12, league top performer in the 100 fly and 100 back, has earned the honor three times, while Bryan Droll ’11 (50 free) and Wills Cooper ’13 (100 free) also have league top times.

Brian McRae ’14 has three times been named CCSA Men’s Diver of the Week, and Kaliya Burton-Akright ’14 has taken the women’s honor three times.
