Two for the Record Books

When Claire Asbury ’10 returned to her English Department workstudy job from a semester abroad, she found a large envelope waiting for her from her academic adviser and boss, Professor Elizabeth Mills, with whom she shares a love of Wildcat basketball. “I assumed it was some work to get started on, but I opened it and found all of the Observer articles about the team from the months I had been away!” Mills was one of two professors to receive the Hunter-Hamilton Love of Teaching Award during Commencement this year, and Asbury is now one of two alumni secretaries for what she calls “Class X,” which left the Annual Fund with a record-setting senior gift of $12,094 from a record-setting 99.3 percent of its 427 members.
