As most student s slept late, 35 others committed their weekend to mock Capitol Hill hearings on American energy policy sponsored by the Dean Rusk International Studies Program. One of the hearings occurred in recently renovated Philanthropic Literary Hall, where sunlight crowned lead Senator Krista Timeus ’10 with naturally illuminated authority. In this regal Davidson setting, it was easy to imagine these students accepting civic responsibility in the future and proposing real-world change for their country.
