When Lindsey Martin ’11 touched the wall and checked the scoreboard after the 50-meter freestyle at the 2010 CCSA Championships, she was a little surprised at what she saw. Her school-record time of 22.57 proved to be fast enough to make Martin the first Davidson swimmer to qualify for the NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving Championships. She went on to compete for the Wildcats in the 50, 100, and 200 freestyles, and finished her NCAA competition with a personal and Davidson record time of 49.55 in the 100 and 1:48.76 in the 200. Most recently, she has been named to the 2010 Mid-Major All-American Team.
